The Foster's of Virginia, Kentucky, Tennesse and Illinois

The group of Fosters who had their beginnings (as best we can tell) in Amelia Co, VA or in the surrounding counties of that area. Their migration's followed associated families, Wiggintons, Mitchells, Thurman, Boatright, Bailey, Morrow, to name a few in the beginning treck into Kentucky and Tennessee.  They traveled in family groups often living next door to other Foster family groups.  To which then become a very difficult sorting process.
In my blog of Fosters of Amelia Co VA,    I began with a group of descendants of James Foster and his wife Mary.  We first find them in Amelia Co, and follow their migration from Amelia Co, to Pittsylvania County, and on to Bedford County.  We are not sure how many children this James Foster had, but from records we believe that Abner, John, Drewster and James Jr. Foster were brothers.  There are many errors in that Blog that have been discovered and hence a new blog is created to bring updates about this family and any new additions discovered.
In genealogy the normal is to site an exact document that declares relationships.  That has been very hard to produce, and then we have to build documentation that shows "why" we think a certain way or evidence.
With this group of Fosters, we have some solid facts, the rest is based on evidence, or the fact they all traveled in the same direction, or in association with families of marriages.  In other words many differing factors that come into play that lead us to a certain conclusion, based on the sited evidence.
This site is for all of those who are researching a Foster relative in these areas, and you are invited to join in this blog with your Foster relation details.  Please provide dates, names, places and supporting documentation.  Our Brick walls will be more easily overcome if we all work together to solve the puzzles.  Especially if you know your lineage we want to hear from you if you make a connection.
A presentation of known facts are listed, and perhaps a question needs to be answered of which is written in red.  If any of you can answer any questions please use the comment box.  It is useful to all who read this, and thank you all for your participation.  Happy Hunting!!
